With at-home movie screenings becoming the norm, second screens have become core to the modern viewing experience—88% of American use a second device while watching TV, and 71% of those viewers look up content related to whatever they’re watching.
To promote Universal’s Halloween Kills, we built the first-second screen chat experience for Messenger that proactively answers movie watchers burning questions. First, for Halloween (2018), knowing that fans of the franchise often would rewatch the old films before the new ones. Then, with its release, we created a second experience for the new film Halloween Kills.
